Be the Hands is Cary Presbyterian's signature congregation-wide community service effort. It's a week full of roll-up-your-sleeves and “be the hands of Christ” service opportunities, many of them supporting local non-profit agencies. Since we began in November 2017, hundreds of volunteers have joined in this intergenerational service project that culminates with a fellowship event.

Most of our Be the Hands projects are scheduled for the spring each year. But there is also a day when we help CPC members who need a little assist with yard work in the fall! This year it’s from 9 AM to noon on Saturday, November 7. Details in the sign up below.

Cary Presbyterian is a Matthew 25 church. What does that mean? Matthew 25 is an initiative of the PC(USA) that serves to focus and energize existing and future ministries of participating congregations. It is inspired by Jesus’ teachings in Matthew 25: 31-46, where Jesus made it clear that what we do matters to God and how we treat others is important to God. Our Be the Hands projects are an integral part of our Matthew 25 efforts.
