CPC's Safety and Security team, working with Session, is responsible for developing and overseeing policies for a variety of potential issues and incidents. Find out more by clicking on links below. If you have questions, please contact us through the contact form at the bottom of this page, or call the church office at 919-467-8700.
AED defibrillators
Two AED units are available in the church for use during an emergency. On the first floor, the unit is located just outside the Sanctuary, beside the Parlor. The second unit is downstairs in the annex by the stairway leading into the Education Building, which also houses the Cary Presbyterian Preschool.
Inclement Weather
Our utmost concern is the safety of our members and visitors, especially during inclement weather. While we are always happy to see you, please use your discretion about traveling when weather conditions are potentially hazardous.
During the week, CPC cancellations or early closure due to inclement weather will follow those of the Wake County Public School System. If school closes early, then church activities for the remainder of the day will be cancelled, and the church office will be closed. If school is cancelled for the day because of weather conditions, all church activities are cancelled, and the church office is closed, with church staff working at home and pastors on call in case of an immediate pastoral need.
Cary Presbyterian Church policy is to hold scheduled worship services if at all possible. In the event of a forecast of inclement weather on the weekend, the pastor/head of staff, in consultation with the Clerk of Session, will make the final decision on whether to postpone or cancel scheduled worship services. A decision will be made no later than 9:00 p.m. the night before.
Any worship service delays or cancellations will be communicated as promptly as possible via our mobile-app, congregational email, and the Cary Presbyterian Church Facebook Page. The information also will be posted on WRAL-TV and its website.
