March 7
John Hansen Photography: Capturing a Moment in Time

Triple F invites you to join us for an exciting and visual experience on Tuesday, March 7 at 10:00 in CPC Fellowship Hall.  John Hansen, professional photographer and CPC member, will demonstrate what is truly remarkable about photography.  Using examples of his own work, John will describe how photography captures and preserves a moment in time and how the images captured can enrich our lives.

We are delighted that John can be with us to share his experiences and his work as a photographer, videographer, and FAA-certified drone pilot.  John enjoyed a 40-year career as a newspaper photojournalist before “retiring” in 2018. He worked at newspapers in Taiwan, St. Joseph, Missouri (where he met his lovely wife Paula at a high school basketball game!), Jacksonville, Florida and spent 26 years as a photo editor and department head at The News & Observer in Raleigh. Among his most recent projects are the North Carolina Symphony, the Duke Children’s Hospital “Over the Edge”, and drone photography for commercial interests.  Recent documentary works include scenes from Nimasac community in Guatemala, wild horses at Shackleford Banks, and arial views of Cary Downtown.  His website can be found at https://www.johnhansenphoto.com .

We hope you can join us on Tuesday, March 7 in CPC Fellowship Hall at 10:00 for a great event and fellowship with refreshments following the program.  This event is open to all family and friends who are interested in learning about the work of photographers and the value they create by capturing important moments around us.
